Are God's People Just Spiritual Israel?

The world's church teaches the born again are just spiritual Israel. This is false doctrine! If we repent of our sins, separate from the cursed Adamic race and die to our sins and bloodlines through being submerged into the watery grave at baptism, we shall not only die to our old self in Christ’s death, but we are raised up in His resurrection to a newness of life, a new creature, new Israel. Jesus gave His life to redeem us, but we must give ours in baptism to partake of the redemption! When we are obedient to John 3:3, then we are reborn or born again into something new - completely new! No more curse on us. The Adamic race was cursed, not the new creature we have become! This is why Jesus said at John 3:3 to be a part of His Kingdom we must be born again.

God changes not. He is the same today, yesterday and forever. He tells us in Jeremiah 31:1 that He is the God of all the families of Israel, and that they are His people. So if we are born again, we must be new Israel, the people of His kingdom. With all these facts in mind let us consider further.

Is Israel just a little country in the Middle East, occupied by the Jewish people, or is there more for us to understand? The answer is, there is much more to understand!

To begin with, many countries, towns, communities, etc. have been named after the people that live there, and it is no different with Israel, the country. The people that Israel was named after were the descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob. Jacob’s 12 sons resulted in the 12 tribes of Israel, but they were not named after a country. They were named after their father, Jacob, whose name had been changed by God to Israel.

The land that was given to Jacob, or Israel, his 12 sons and their families eventually became known as Israel, the country. So we see the word Israel can mean a people, or their country, depending on the situation being discussed.

In Exodus we see God renewing His covenant with His people, the covenant made with their forefathers.

But Israel was not obedient or holy. As they passed through the different lands, they took on the pagan religions of the people dwelling there. They eventually fought with one another, and the house of Jacob or the house of Israel was divided. Of course a house divided will fall, and fall they did. Judah and Benjamin, now known as southern Israel, stayed together and the other 10 tribes became lost in the nations. God scattered them by allowing their capture through Sargon II of Assyria. These 10 tribes, now referred to as northern Israel, mixed with the people of the land and eventually were seen no more. The tribe of Benjamin was absorbed into Judah over the years so that all that remained for mankind to see of Jacob’s sons and their families was Judah’s people. Today, the tribe of Judah is what is referred to as the Jewish people. So, where is the rest of Israel?

The 10 northern tribes of Abraham’s seed were scattered and lost in the nations of the world. Lost that is to man, but not lost to God. He knows every hair on our heads, so it is no big deal for the Father to keep track of the bloodline of Jacob, even through crossed many times into the people of the world.

Jesus said He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel.

First He ministered to the Jews, but then after their refusal to hear the new doctrine He said He had another flock that would hear. Since He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel, who would this be? Of course, the 10 lost tribes. The reason the tribe of Judah was kept where man could identify it was so we could correctly trace the birth of Jesus and prove His right to the throne. Also, the early prophets had foretold of His coming and so we needed to see the tribe, the place of birth, etc.

Notice, Jesus will shepherd or rule My people Israel. In the regeneration, as the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, look at who He, and the faithful who follow Him, are judging.

God is still the God of the families of Israel it says at Jeremiah 31:1.

In verse 9 it says: “I am a Father to Israel and Ephraim is my firstborn.”

So who is Ephraim?

The tribe of Ephraim was the largest of the lost tribes. Over the years all 9 other tribes were absorbed into Ephraim and Ephraim became known as Israel. So the house of Israel was divided into Israel and Judah. In the latter days, however, God will gather His people out of the nations. Jeremiah prophesied of this time:

Ezekiel not only foresaw the gathering, but he was shown in a vision that they would be in one accord or united into one house and one kingdom again.

This King is Jesus as He rules Israel through His government. Jesus was a descendant of Jacob or Israel and born to the tribe of Judah in the natural. But, born again He would be the first born of Ephraim. Remember the scripture at Jeremiah 31:9?

Jesus has preeminence in all things.

But where do we fit in? Peter explains:

We are the new Israel born through God: the people He prophesied about in Psalms 102: 18.

This promise is the promise first made to Abraham then carried on to Isaac and now us. Again let us look at Romans 9:7-8.

Unfortunately old Israel, God's beloved, turned her back on Jesus.

He wept over Jerusalem just before He went to the cross. He loved her very, very much.

They would no longer understand truth, because they did not see Him as the Messiah. He is truth. Therefore they would have to become new creatures or be born again. Remember, unless a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom - John 3:3. Old Adamic Israel would be defeated by her enemies once again, and this time it would be her end forever!

How very sad! Jesus said:

They must recognize the Messiah and those He walks through. Rom 9:6 tells us not all Israel is Israel, and he explains in verse 7, nor are they children of God just because they are Abraham’s seed in the flesh.

But, good news is found in Hebrews 8:8.

This is what God does for us as new Israel when we are resurrected from death at baptism to new life. The law will show us God's will and truth is put back in our hearts and minds once again to build the new earth and establish the Kingdom. Like Adam and Eve before their fall, the law will be in us as a guide and over us for protection.

So here is the Good News of the gospel, He loves the world (all creation) and His people have not been lost from His sight!

How does He do this?

We cannot be a part of the cursed Adamic race, no matter what our bloodlines are, and be a part of God’s Kingdom. Remember who the seed of Abraham really is?

So we are not as the traditional church teaches, Spiritual Israel. We are born again, New Israel. We are not in the image of the first man, Adam, that begat the people of old Israel any longer. We are in the image of the last Adam!

We are the body of Christ! Israel means: a powerful prevailing Prince, Soldier of God, one who rules with the Almighty. This is the race of new creatures, born of God through baptism.

When united with others of like kind, they will be he vessels God will live through to regain dominion over this planet.

He will deliver the Kingdom back to the Father through His body. Through His government He will act as head of the church to put an end to all rule, authority and power of Satan in the apostate church and the systems of man. Christ will rise up against the body of Satan through His people and defeat their kingdoms through those chosen to be His government.

In closing, as human vessels we will either house Jesus Christ, or he who is Antichrist: the lawless one, Satan. We are either a vessel of honor or a vessel of dishonor. As newborn Israel we can make the same mistakes old Israel made and be forsaken of God as she was, or we can become the manifested children of the Most High, a new species, children of truth, children of the promise, heirs of the Kingdom, real, not just spiritual Israel!!
